Great job CMA swimmers at the Last Chance meet.  For some it was the last chance to qualify for Silver State, for others it was the last meet of the Short Course season – and everyone took advantage of the opportunity.  Here are a few of the highlights:

·         12 swimmers qualified for 25 first time Silver State events.  Click here for the complete list.

o    Kathryn Benson dropped 4.2 seconds in the 200 free and 13.34 seconds in the 400 IM!

o    Kirwan Bonifas got three new Silver State cuts

o    Adam Brewer dropped 46.98 seconds in the 500 free to pick up another Silver State cut and went a personal best time in every event

o    Elizabeth Brewer went a lifetime best in the 50 free for another cut

o    Caitlin Cairns got her first three qualifying times ever in the 50 Back, 50 Free, and 50 Fly!

o    Marie Goodwyn only had one qualifying time at the end of January, she now has 8 and had to decide which event not to swim at Silver State (you are only allowed to swim a max of 7 events).

o    Calum Lehman qualified in the 50 Fly to bring his Silver State event total to 7 events

o    Harper Lehman qualified in the 100 IM and now has four total

o    India Lovaas went a personal best time in every event and qualified for Silver State in the 200 Back

o    Carmen Mena went a personal best time in every event, to include a 5:57.86 in the 500 Free (first time under 6:00) and a 1:08.35 in the 100 Fly.  She now has 6 Silver State qualifying times

o    Miles picked up three more Silver State qualifying times

o    Maren York pick up three more Silver State qualifying times.

o    Maggie Tibbitt broke 7 team records

o    Daniel Carr broke 5 team records

·         189 new personal best times (80% of swim were best times)

o    Nicole Bellingham: personal best time in every event

o    Brigitte Benson: 7 new personal best times

o    Jerry Birnbaum: personal best time in every event

o    Shannon Campbell: three new personal best times

o    Emma Creech: personal best time in every event

o    Juliana Ellis: personal best time in every event

o    Fletcher Erskine: 7 new personal best times

o    Josh Greenberg: 5 new personal best times

o    Madison Jones: 4 new personal best times

o    Madelyn Lewis: personal best time in every event

o    Mathilda Liehr: personal best time in every event

o    Alex Maline: personal best time in every event

o    Mason Parker: Two new personal best times

o    Peter Quiros: personal best time in every event

o    Ashlyn Riley: personal best time in every event

o    Faith VanOrman: 3 time improvements of 10% or more
